Friends and colleagues,
I’m
pleased to have the opportunity to invite you to 24th
International Conference on Incineration and Thermal Treatment
Technologies. I’m particularly excited about this year’s IT3 Conference
for a number of reasons. Firstly, our location this year, Galveston, TX
is a unique and interesting place. The American southeast is noted for
its fantastic weather and the striking oceanic beauty of the landscape.
Our hotel and meeting facilities are first rate. This year’s location is
in the “Chemical Belt” of the USA which means that many of our regional
attendees can drive to this location. Secondly, the Program Advisory
Committee and the Executive Board have worked hard to assemble a
technical program involving 120 papers that we believe provide
information of interest to the entire range of professionals in our
industry including regulators, researchers, technology providers,
service companies, and operators from the United States and abroad. I
would like to thank each of you for going an extra mile this year in
submitting abstracts and making plans to attend the conference. This
year, we have arranged two incineration facility tours that are the
largest in the country. Our mix of attendees, from all avenues of the
thermal treatment marketplace and from every corner of the globe, has
always been the strong point of our Conference. This year will be no
exception. Furthermore, we have listened to suggestions from past
attendees and have made some adjustments to the programs including round
table discussions that we hope will enhance your experience at this
year’s IT3 Conference. I ask all the international attendees to apply
for your US entry visas early so that your travel plan goes smoothly.
Lastly, I’m excited to see many of you that I consider old friends once
again and to have the opportunity to make some new friends. See you in
Galveston!
